Supermarkets and restaurants:

Tommy supermarket and grocery is just 5 min walk uphill) and Konzum supermarket is on the coast in the city center. Near the Konzum is an outdoor grocery with homemade vegetables ....

The closest restaurant to the House MART is called Ranč and it is just 5 min walk away (it is next door to Tommy supermarket). They usually have specialty of the day at fair price. In addition, Pupmarella in the Port of Bol (9 min walk from the house) offers delicious meals in a very cozy environment during evening/night.

On the other hand, there is also a very fine place called Ribarska kućica (meaning Fisherman's house) for lunch, dinner or evening cocktail (16 min walk). It is a restaurant with coffee & cocktail bar on the beach with a view on 500 years old Monastery. The Monastery itself can be entered. There is an admission fee for accessing private collection / museum.

If you are a vine person, Stina vinery near the see in city center (10 min away from the house) should be the right place for you.

What to see around Bol:

You can also consider 1 day boat trip tour to other islands. The most popular include island Hvar with Paklina island and Blue Cave on Bisevo island (near Vis Island), Green Cave (also near Vis Island), and some old military tunnel on Brac island itself. It is best to check out available options during the evening walk just next to the Varadero club in the Bol town center.

It should be enough to rent a car for just for one or 2 days for visiting some other small cities on Brac Island. E.g. Skrip village as the oldest place on Brac island with Museum of Olive oil there (half day trip) and/or another monastery and museum called Blaca. Blaca is accessible by car (via Vidova Gora viewpoint) and by boat (from the sea) but it takes 40 min drive/sail (by car/boat). Then it takes an additional 45 min to 1h one way walk (and same time for return). Please take some water in bottles and appropriate shoes. It is also possible to rent a bike or quad in Bol since there are lot of old off roads for bikes (but please check the weather forecast and mind the temperature/heat if renting a bike).

Culture and gastronomy:

Bol summer festival (Bolsko lito) provides events almost every night e.g. traditional Dalmatian "a capella" singing, various concerts and exibitions of local artists, local gastronomy etc.

Also, August 5th is the day of the patroness of Bol - Our Lady of the Snows, so there are festivities all around the city on that day.

Sports and activities:

There are plenty of opportunities for tennis and for water sports such as kayaking, stand-up paddling (SUP), wind surfing, kite surfing, scuba-diving or simple swimming.

Martinica beach is just 20 min walk away (1,5 km) from the house. It offers SUPs and kayaks for rent.

On the other side, several places along the Promenade toward Zlatni rat offer wind surfing, scuba diving schools, beach volleyball and tennis. Zlatni rat itself is 24 min walk away (1,7 km). It is possible to rent a jet-ski or try tube rides and banana boat rides or just enter Aquapark there. If you are adventurous, you can even choose to go parasailing from Zlatni rat (you are on a parachute pulled by the speed boat and ride on it about 150 meters above the sea).
